Garden Condition:

Existing garden had been cleared exstensively prior to renovation to the house and a major kitchen extension added.

A small pond had been a wildlife haven and here the ground sloped dramatically up towards the wooden garage at the rear of the garden.

Finished garden:

A large feature wildlife pond was created and planted to encourage as many species into the garden as possible. Access from the pond the vegetable beds was essential to encourage frogs for pest control.

A new path from the house curves round the lawn and past the pond forming a subtle divide between the social and practical areas of the garden.

Green oak sleepers were used to retain the rear raised area (this will be planted with fruit trees at a later date) and to construct a small raised deck over the pond to create a peaceful seating area within the garden itself.
