"create a contemporary rear garden that maximises use of space and light and create distinctive areas for family and social use".

Garden Condition:
 
The garden was completely stripped during a major renovation of the house and kitchen extension.
 
The garden sloped considerable away from the house, west to east, with the majority of sunlight jitting the rear wall and being lost in the early evening.

 

 

 


Finished Garden:
 
The use of white rendered walls and red cedar decking and fencing contrasts perfectly with the black limestone paving to give the garden the clean and contemporary appearance requested by the clients.
 
By utilising the the different heights we have maximised the usable space and created a number of strong features within the garden. In particular, raising the main decked seating area enables the clients to enjoy longer summer evenings in the sunshine with the added benefit of incorporating subtle and stylish storage areas.
 
The garden is completed with strong structured planting designed to give year round interest and compliments the overall design.
